What Portable Storage Actually Costs in Los Angeles (Real Prices, No Runaround)
Most storage companies make you fill out a form, wait for a callback, and sit through a pitch before anyone tells you a number. We think that's a lousy way to treat someone who just wants to know if this fits their budget.
So here are our portable storage prices in Los Angeles, in public, on the internet, where you can compare them against anyone else's.
Below is what a container costs per month, what delivery runs, and the handful of things that can change your number. No teaser rate, no asterisk that doubles the bill in month two.
Monthly Prices: Container at Your Place
This is the common setup. We deliver the container to your driveway, side yard, or lot, and it stays there while you load and unload on your own schedule.

- 8x12 — $199 per month
- 8x16 — $279 per month
- 8x20 — $299 per month
Rental is month to month. There's no annual contract, no early termination penalty, and no requirement to guess how long your remodel or escrow is going to drag out. When you're done, you call us and we pick it up.
Monthly Prices: Container at Our Gardena Warehouse
If you don't have room for a container at home — or you don't want one parked out front for three months — we load it at your place and haul it back to our secure facility in Gardena.

- 8x12 — $269 per month
- 8x16 — $299 per month
- 8x20 — $379 per month
The warehouse rate is higher because it covers the round trip and secure storage on our yard. Notice the 8x16 is only $20 more per month stored than parked — if you're already leaning toward that size, off-site storage costs you almost nothing extra.
Delivery and Pickup
Delivery and pickup run $79 to $109 depending on where you are in the service area and what the access looks like. Gardena, Torrance, and Inglewood sit at the low end. Ventura County, Riverside, and far east Orange County sit at the top.
That's a per-trip charge, not a monthly one. A standard rental has two: one out, one back.
The 8x16 Discount
We run 50% off the first month on the 8x16 only. That's our most-rented size — full two- to three-bedroom home, big remodel, most commercial jobs — and it's the one we keep the deepest inventory of, so we can afford to discount it.
It applies to the first month's rental, not to delivery. If you're on the fence between the 8x12 and the 8x16, the discount usually makes the bigger box the cheaper first month. Details are on our 8x16 special offer page.
What Can Change Your Price
Three things, and none of them are surprises we spring on you at the end.
Where you are
Delivery scales with distance. We cover Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and Ventura Counties. If you're outside that footprint — Lancaster and Palmdale, for example — we'll tell you on the phone instead of quoting you and canceling later.
How hard the spot is to reach
Usually it doesn't change anything. Our remote-controlled placement system puts containers into driveways and side yards a flatbed couldn't touch. But a spot that requires a street permit, a crane, or a second visit is a conversation, and we'd rather have it before delivery day.
How many containers
Multiple containers on one site — common on construction jobs and business overflow — get quoted together, not one at a time.
How to Compare This Against Anyone Else
When you call another company, ask four questions and write the answers down.
- What is the monthly rate, and what does it become after the promo period?
- What are delivery and pickup, quoted separately?
- Is there a minimum rental term or a cancellation fee?
- If I need to move it to a facility mid-rental, what does that cost?
